Day Ten

here is Mom waiting for the sun to go down

We started out our day with the sun shinning, and the sound of waves craching in the background. As we were packing up the owner of the cabins came around and told us of the tsumani warning. It was to hit the area South of Christchuch first (Akarora).
Akarora was the place we went with Vivian a couple days ago. It only has one road in, and it follows the ocean. They were told to evacuate. We can't seem to find any news about the tsumani. We were in the car most of the day, and the only radio we could get in the mountains was 1950's country.
We traveled down the west coast throught the mountains. We stoped at the Frans Josef and Fox Glaciers. The weather has changed and it was raining and socked in most of the day. We walked up to the base of the frans Josef and Just had a peek at the Fox. Very beautiful even in the clouds.
The rest of the day was in the car on the way to Queenstown. We have a trip booked to milford sounds for tomarrow. I hope the weather gets better.

This is a picture os the frans Josef Glasier.  As you can seethe weather could be better...
