day 18

Today started out clear, sunny and warm (Hot). We did laundry and the headed up to the Blue Mountains. What a beautiful day we had. Our first stop was the Wentworth falls. We did a little walk down to a lookout point and saw the falls. There was one walk the you had to climb up these stairs that are anchored to the side of a cliff. Mom decided that it was not for her, darn.... a thousand steps up the side of a cliff sounds like so much fun.........
We stoped and had a great picnic lunch that Margartet made for us. We just enjoyed the peace and quite. Yesterday was a bit much for Mom. All the heat ,humidity and thousands of people.

The Three sisters

After lunch we went over to the three sisters at Katoomba. Legend has it that thier father turned them to stone because he thought something was going to harm them. He believed that he would be able to come back and revive them. He didn't.

Then we stoped in and saw all of Margartets family. We got back to her place around 7, had dinner and then off to bed. All the heat and walking sure tuckers you out (Mom I mean).
