We had a great day today. We left Queenstown this morning and drove out into the fruit growing area. We stoped and some strawberry and plums. The strawberrys were so go, They were picked just this morning,
Ater we left the fruit area we entered a flat area between the two mountain ranges, Lots of farming. Lots of sheep and cattle, We stoped at a place called tarra, For our tea and scones. It is the home of Shrek, a merino ram that eluded the sheerers for 6 years. When he finally got clipped It was on national tv, Now he lives like a rock star.
We stoped at Mt. Cook in the afternoon, They have a really great visitor centre. They show the history of mountain climbing in the area. It was so imformative. The pictures of the early climbes was great.
Then we stoped at Lake Tekapo, and saw a very old church and a monument to the collie sheep dogs.
